Tony Lehouillier, d/b/a Foote Brook OrganicsVermont Agricultural Credit Corporation
Tony Lehouillier, the owner of Foote Brook Organics in Johnson, graduated from Vermont Technical College and attended the University of Vermont. Established in 1997, Foote Brook Organics produces a large variety of organic vegetables and root crops. There are 45 acres in organic vegetable production and 25 acres in sod production. The family's old dairy barn, centered on 60 acres of prime agricultural land along the Lamoille River, was renovated, and is now being used as the company's storage/shipping facility. The farm's vegetables are distributed by Deep Root Cooperative and sold at the farm's vegetable stand and local farmers’ markets.
VACC has provided Foote Brook Organics with both long-term and short-term financing to support the growth and seasonality of the business.
